Leaoasavaii Soaring

Tamas Lendvai opened to 24,000 from the button only to have Danny Leaoasavaii three-bet to 53,000 from the small blind.

With the action on Tom Grigg in the big blind, he made it 110,000 to go only to have Lendvai move all in for 860,000. Leaoasavaii committed his 224,000 and Grigg tank-folded what he stated was {Q-}{Q-}.

Lendvai: {J-Diamonds}{J-Spades}
Leaoasavaii: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The final board ran out {8-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{2-Hearts} to see Leaoasavaii find a near triple to 570,000 as Lendvai slips to 680,000 in chips.

Facing an under the gun raise to 24,000, Kani Edwards moved all in for 145,000 from the button.

Sitting in the big blind, Santi Soriano Ramos moved all for roughly 300,000 to force the original raiser to fold.

Edwards: {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Ramos: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out a rather undramatic {K-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{6-Spades} to see Edwards eliminated in 12th place as Ramos climbs to 490,000 in chips.

Vogelman fired out 40,000 and Boxell check-raised all in with Vogelman making the call from his last 180,000.

Boxell: {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Vogelman: {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}

The turn and river landed the {9-Clubs} and {3-Diamonds} to see Vogelman double to 420,000 as Boxell slips to 170,000 in chips.

Leaoasavaii Licking Lips at Rivered Double

With the action on Danny Leaoasavaii under the gun, he moved all in for roughly 90,000. Tom Grigg made the call from middle position to put New Zealand's Godfather of Hip-Hop - Brotha D - at risk.

Leaoasavaii: {3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}
Grigg: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

With Leaoasavaii holding a slight advantage, he would unfortunately see a {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop to leave him with just two outs to improve. The {5-Clubs} on the turn changed little, but when the {3-Hearts} spiked on the river, a thunderous boom rocketed through the SKYCITY Auckland Poker Room as cheers, claps and hi-fives celebrated Leaoasavaii two-outer.

As Grigg continued to slide; now down to 550,000, Leaoasavaii soared over the 200,000-chip mark - much to the joy of the majority of railbirds watching on.

Grigg Continues to Slide

Tom Grigg opened to 25,000 and Tamas Lendvai made the call from the big blind.

Both players checked the {7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} flop as the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn and Lendvai led for 35,000. Grigg made the call, and when the river landed the {A-Clubs}, both players checked it through.

Lendvai tabled his {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} to prompt a muck from Grigg as he slipped to 620,000 and Lendvai climbed to 780,000.

Tamas Lendvai opened the cutoff to 23,000 only to have Tom Grigg make it 60,000 from the small blind.

Lendvai responded with a four-bet to 115,000 to force a fold from Grigg.

Although the pot may not seem to significant, it is one that saw Grigg relinquish the chip lead sliding down to 640,000 as Lendvai climbed to 700,000 in chips.

Vogelman Clips Boxell

Leo Boxell entered the pot with a raise to 27,000 from the cutoff as both Lance Climo and Noah Vogelman called from the blinds.

As the flop landed {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{10-Spades}, Boxell fired out a continuation-bet of 30,000 only to have Noah Vogelman move all in for 149,000 to force folds from both Climo and Boxell.

As Vogelman collected the pot, he moved to 260,000 as Boxell slipped to 400,000 in chips.

Ian Parnell eliminated in 13th place
Ian Parnell eliminated in 13th place

From the button, Ian Parnell moved all in for roughly 150,000 and Tamas Lendvai made the call from the small blind.

Parnell: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Lendvai: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

With Parnell in a classic race situation, the {A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop saw Lendvai take the lead before the {A-Diamonds} and {8-Spades} landed on the turn and river to end Parnell's tournament in 13th place for a $7,094 collect as Lendvai soars to 640,000 in chips.
