Another Outdraw Ends Benton's Day

Aaron Benton will not be tasting victory here in Auckland

With a raise from middle position to 1,200, Danny Silk three-bet to 3,900 next to act as Aaron Benton smooth-called from the big blind as the original raiser came along also.

The flop of {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades} was checked to Silk who fired out a continuation-bet of 6,500 as only Benton made the call to see the {7-Clubs} land on the turn.

Benton checked as Silk shuffled chips continuously for over three minutes before splashing the pot with six orange 5,000-denomination chips amounting to a bet of 30,000. Benton instantly committed his last 18,000 to be at risk.

Benton: {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}
Silk: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

"Another bloody two-outer on the turn!" exclaimed Benton in reference to one of the earlier pots with Julian Cohen.

Now needing to hit his own two-outer, Benton would unfortunately see the {2-Hearts} land on the river to end his chance of becoming the first double APPT Champion.

As the pot was pushed to Silk to see him climb to 91,000, Benton pushed his chair in walked over to Silk and shook his hand before exiting the tournament area.
