Jukka Juvonen

Jukka Juvonen is a 59-year old Civil Engineer from Finland but is a regular support of poker tournaments throughout the Asian region. Juvonen got started in the game thanks to his father when he was just a child, and has built an impressive career that features results throughout Europe, Asia and America where he picked up two WSOP cash results.

Juvonen stormed into the chip lead on Day 3 when he turned a flush against Alexander Beeckx’s pocket aces and from there, he cruised to the final table where he sits comfortably in the middle of the pack.

Young Captures First

Kim Gap Young opened to 27,000 from under the gun and found a caller in Jukka Juvonen who opted to defend his big blind.

Juvonen checked dark as the dealer dropped a {8-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop with Young checking behind.

The {2-Hearts} on the turn was greeted by another check from Juvonen before Young fired out a bet of 25,000.

Juvonen made the call before both players checked the {3-Hearts} on the river.

Young tabled his {A-Spades}{3-Clubs} to best Juvonen's {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} as the first pot of the final table goes to the chip leader.

En, Michael Pushing

With action on Fabiano Michael in early position, he moved all in for 230,000 to pick up the blinds and antes and add a vital 26,000 to his chip stack.

The following hand, Richard En opted for the same move - an all in for his last 189,000 - to force tank folds from the blinds.

The big blind - Raymond Lapitan - folded his {A-Clubs} face up, and as En collected the pot, he flashed an ace too.

Daren Yoon not liking that river!

Kim Gap Young opened to 27,000 from early position only to have Daren Yoon three-bet to 75,000 from hi-jack.

Young made the call to see a {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop fall and Young lead for 70,000. Yoon made the call as the {5-Hearts} on the turn was checked through before the {10-Hearts} landed on the river.

Pausing for a moment, Young fired out a small bet of 40,000 which Yoon called, only to follow it with a muck after seeing Young table his {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}.

As Yoon slips to 435,000, Young climbs to 1,320,000 in chips.
