Day 1c Started
It's approaching high noon in southeast Asia, and it's just about time for Day 1c of the PokerStars.net APPT Macau. This final starting day will be the largest of the three, and it figures to be the toughest of the three flights as well.
A combined 172 players have already had their entry cards punched here this week at the Grand Lisboa, and today's final flight should see that number grow by at least a hundred. We expect to have a good handful of Team PokerStars Pros in the house, and we've also seen a few familiar faces like Aaron Lerner, Wooka Kim, and Dominik Nitsche mulling around the tournament room.
We're once again scheduled for a 12:15pm start time, just about a half hour from now. So go grab yourself a cup of coffee and a snack, and get back here for the shuffle up and deal!

And deal! Celina Lin just kicked off the last of the start days here in Macau. And we're a little sad that we just saw the traditional mask changing dance to Michael Jackson music for the last time.
Here's a quick list of some of the notables playing today that we've spotted. This list is sure to grow as we scan the field and registration stays open for the first two levels.

Tony Hachem was keeping things light and joking around when he bet 1,500 into a 600-chip pot on a flop reading . His opponent on the button clicked it back, and Hachem called the min-raise. Both players quickly checked the on the turn. And Hachem again checked the river. But his opponent was done playing nice and bet 5,000. Hachem's demeanor instantly changed. Time to get serious. "Where abouts you from? Europe?" Hachem asked. He studied the board for several minutes, saying he didn't expect this so early and was worried about strong plays from tablemate Steve Yea, but not from this unknown. Finally, Yea called the clock, and Hachem folded, flashing the . He immediately reached for his coffee.
Who says poker isn't a friendly game? Eric Yim and Wenceslao Sombero are sitting a few seats away from each other and discovered that both are heading to Las Vegas in a few days for the World Series of Poker. They're currently exchanging contact info so they'll know somebody when they get there.
The under-the-gun player raised to 400, and Steve Yea called. When action got to the big blind, he made it 1,300. That didn't bother the original raiser at all. He four-bet to 4,300. Yea got out of the way, and the big blind looked a little angrier than necessary as he threw his at the dealer.

With about 6,000 chips already in the pot, Brendon Rubie was pitted against Quinn Do. Rubie had the action checked to him and he fired 3,500. Do tanked for quite some time and then eventually made the call. Rubie revealed the and won the pot to put his stack at 34,000.
Moments later, Rubie and Do battled again. This time, the board read on the turn. The pot was 2,900 and Rubie fired 2,500. Do made the call. The river completed the board with the .
