Swannack And Semesa

The action began with Cole Swannack raising from the cutoff, whereby Semesa Brown three-bet from the big blind. A call from Swannack would see the flop dealt {4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

On the flop, Brown led for 2,100 and Swannack made the call to watch as the {7-Hearts} hit the turn. Brown again led, this time for 3,500. A call from Swannack would see the {9-Spades} land on the river.

The river would see Brown again lead, this time for 10,000 or almost half of his stack. Swannack then moved all-in with his monster stack and Brown made the call, turning over {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a rivered straight.

Swannack sent his cards into the muck and got up from his seat and went for a quick walk around the Summit Room as Brown raked in the chips.

Tran Travels To Tomb

The tournament life of Trung Tran has ended with the following hand leading to his demise.

Joel Feldman was under the gun when he opened for 600. Three players would make the call, including the player in the hijack seat, Tran in the small blind and Cole Swannack in the big blind.

Flop: {4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The action was checked around to the hijack player who threw out 1,500 and managed calls from Tran and Swannack.

The turn fell the {3-Hearts} and when Tran checked, Swannack would fire out 3,700. With the hijack player out of the way, Tran made the call and the two players watched as the {2-Diamonds} landed on the river.

Tran checked and Swannack put in a bet large enough to cover Tran's stack. Tran tank-called and started gathering his things as Swannack turned over {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a turned flush.

King Lui

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

We came to the table with a flop showing {3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Patrick Lui and Antony Worch checking to the player on the button who fired out 2,300. At this point Lui went into the tank before pushing his stack all-in. Worch then insta-called and the player on the button got out of the way.

Worch: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Lui: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

Some players at the table told Lui how unlucky he was to run into trips with his kings, but when the {k-Hearts} hit the turn it was unlucky no more for Lui, who watched as the river bricked and took the double-up.

Cole Nines

Cole Swannack opened the pot to 700 from the hijack seat and was three-bet to 1,800 from Semesa Brown in the big blind. Swannack made the call and the two players went to the flop.

Flop: {3-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

Brown led for 2,000 and the call from Swannack would see the {7-Spades} hit the turn. Both players checked and watched as the {3-Hearts} landed on the river. Brown then check-called the 5,400 chip bet from Swannack who tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, enough to send Brown's cards into the muck.

The Grim Poker

John Maklouf has been sent home, his tournament life ended by none other than today’s poker grim reaper, Koray Turker.

According to the table, the story goes that the chips went all in on the river with a board showing {3-}{4-}{5-Spades}{6-Spades}{k-Spades}, with Turker holding {j-Spades}{10-Spades} and hitting the runner-runner spades to make the flush and deal another fatal blow.
