Day 2 Soon To Begin; Alicia Sailing Out The Front
With three days of tough Day 1 action in the bag, it’s time for Day 2 to finally kick off at the 2011 PokerStars.net APPT Queenstown Main Event!
The 127 player field has been reduced to the 71 players hitting the felt today, with each vying for a piece of the NZD$342,900 prizepool and each with their eyes on the victory and the NZD$94,300 to go along with it.

After her dominating day at the tables yesterday, it will be local Alicia Sale who starts Day 2 as the chipleader, sitting behind a monster 91,750-chip stack. Sale heads the five local players who lead the chipleader board, with New Zealand well represented in the chip counts.
Young Australian players Jonathan Karamalikis, Andrew Hinrichsen and Tom Grigg will start today with plenty of chips, while Octavian Voegele and Marcel Schreiner top the international contingent of players who remain in contention.
