The 2013 PokerStars.net Asia Pacific Poker Tour has made its way to the beautiful City of Dreams here in Macau for the premier poker stop in Asia.
Last year saw the introduction of the APPT Macau Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP), so we’ll have to go back to 2011 for the last winner, were PokerStars Team Pro Randy Lew bested a field of 575 players to take home the APPT Macau Main Event title.
With the World Series of Poker (WSOP) in full swing over in Las Vegas, the numbers will not be that high for this event, but the caliber of those participating will not disappoint.
Several Australian players including Liam O’Rourke, Didier Guerin, Jason Lee, Michael Kanaan, Jeff Rossiter and Mishel Anunu will be in action over the next two days as well as Team Pros Bryan Huang, Celina Lin, Raymond Wu and Vivian Im, as they battle it out against local and international players to see who will be crowned the next champion.
Play will be kicking off in just under an hour at 3:00 p.m. local time and PokerNews will be on the floor providing all the action form the first of two Day 1 flights!
