Argyros Pushes Them Around

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Billy Argyros has been staying very active lately and that continued when he recently won another handy pot preflop against [Removed:17]. It started with Argyros opening to 175,000 from the button. Yan then three-bet to 475,000 from the small blind and Argyros made it 1,000,000. Yan quickly folded and more chips went to Argyros.

Argyros Commanding the Table

Level 27 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

The action started with Billy Argyros limping into the pot before [Removed:17] raised it up to 220,000. Argyros made the call as both players watched the flop come down {4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}.

Argyros checked as Yan threw out a continuation bet of 190,000. The bet was called, before Argyros again checked when the {a-Clubs} fell on the turn. Yan reached for his chips and bet out 365,000. Argyros was quick to announce a raise, before sliding out an even million. Yan didn’t look too impressed as his cards flew into the muck.

More for Croc

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

[Removed:17] opened the button and Billy Argyros called out of the big blind. Both players checked the {7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop and a {3-Spades} hit the turn. Argyros checked here and Yan bet 250,000. Argyros asked the dealer to spread the pot and then called.

On the {9-Diamonds} river, both players checked and Yan turned over {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Argyros flipped over {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and scooped up the pot.

Double For Tolhopf

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Bowdy Tolhopf opted to move all in for 2,410,000 from the small blind. Billy Argyros was on the big blind and thought long and hard about his decision.

“I’m trying to put you on a hand,” said Argyros, standing up from his chair. “If I call, I’ll call your hand,” he added.

Argyros agonised over his decision before finally making the call as both players tabled their cards.

Argyros: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}
Tolhopf: {k-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Tolhopf was at risk, but was dealt a lifeline when the flop came down {5-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Argyros would miss his seven as the board ran out the {j-Clubs} and {2-Spades} to see him drop to 2,415,000 in chips.

Croc Doubles Back to Have Big Chip Lead

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Bilyl Argyros has just won his chips back off Bowdy Tolhopf. It started with Argyros opening to 250,000. Tolhopf then asked Argyros how much he had left and before Argyros could answer, Tolhopf had moved all in.

Argyros snap called and turned over {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}. Tolhopf turned over his {a-Hearts}{6-Spades} and then watched the dealer spread out a {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts}{q-Spades}{9-Hearts} board.

Just like that, Argyros is the chip leader again.

[Removed:17] Eliminated in 3rd Place ($133,000)

Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
[Removed:17] - 3rd Place
[Removed:17] - 3rd Place

When [Removed:17] looked down at {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs} on the button he would open it to 200,000. Bowdy Tolhopf was in the small blind and looked down at his {a-Spades}{9-Spades} and decided to move all in. Billy Argyros was out of the way and Yan made an instant call.

Tolhopf had Yan covered, but it was looking very likely that Yan would double up.

Then the dealer spread out a {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} board and it was all over for Yan in 3rd place.

As per the earlier ICM deal, Yan takes home $133,000.
