Scheider Makes a Comeback
Level 12
: 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
We just walked past Dean Schneider’s table and noticed that he was seated behind a large chip stack. Only three orbits ago, Schneider was nursing a short stack of around 40,000 in chips.
He recalled to us how he recently took down a large pot against Jazz Mathers. Mathers opened to 5,000 from middle position and was called by Schneider in the blinds. The flop came down and Schneider led out for 7,000 which was called. On the turn, Schneider didn’t slow down betting out another 23,000. Mathers made the call and when the fell on the river, quickly called a final bet of 46,000.
Schneider then tabled his for flopped two pair, which was good against Mathers who showed his for top pair and a missed flush draw.
