Ward Gone Quickly

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Devan Tang raised to 4,000 from the button and then moved all in after Thomas Ward had three-bet from one seat over for 10,500. Ward's all in call for 50,000 with {A-}{9-} was not rewarded with success as the pocket tens of Tang held up and bumped the finalist of the 50K Freezeout to more than twice the starting stack.

Wong Folds the River

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

In a four-way limped pot to the {J-Spades}{3-Clubs}{J-Hearts} flop, Nick Wong bet 4,000 and only the player on the button called whereas Randy Lew folded out of the small blind. The {8-Hearts} turn was checked through and Wong also checked the {8-Clubs} river to see his opponent bet 11,000 with about as much behind.

Wong, who had already more than doubled his stack, elected to fold and then chatted with table neighbor Sam Higgs.

Registration Open for Another Hour

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

With around 20 minutes left in the current level and the next one to come, the registration for the event remains open for about an hour. The unique entries are up to 68 whereas 15 rebuys have been purchased in four and a half levels thus far to make for 83 bullets into the prize pool.

It is Rebuy After All

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Tom Alner's standard raise from the button was answered with an all in by the player in the small blind and Alner called for 41,800 with {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}. The opponent flipped over {5-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and got there on a board of {6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}.

"I was obviously happy to see it," the Brit said with a wry smile on the face after the dealer had done its duty.

Bernardo Likes the River

Level 5 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After the {4-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} turn, Albert Bernardo led for 5,000 and called a raise to 15,000 by a short stack in seat nine. On the {J-Spades} river, both players checked and Bernardo first flashed his {A-Clubs} before slowly revealing the {4-Clubs}, too. The opponent wasn't happy at all and smashed his now worthless {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} to the middle of the table.

After a limped pot and a checked three-way flop of {A-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Spades}, Randy Lew check-raised the {10-Hearts} turn from 5,000 to 15,400 out of the big blind. The third player in the hand folded but Wong, who had called the initial bet from the button, made the call to see the {6-Clubs} on the river.

Lew bet 20,000 and called the raise to 55,000 by Wong to muck when shown {7-Spades}{8-Spades} for a flush draw that had improved to a straight.

Last Level to Register and Rebuy

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

In just over half an hour, the registration for the event will close and that's also the deadline for taking advantage of the rebuy option. With more than 80 entries already and very juicy action at the table, this may still cause a few undecided players to jump in.
