Kenny Shih had previously raise-folded to a three-bet and then raised it up again, which Nino Pansier called out of the big blind.

Pansier check-called a bet on the J♣5♦3♥ flop and that brought them to the Q♥ turn. Pansier checked again and Shih bet 400,000. The check-shove for 1,915,000 by Pansier followed and Shih vaulted out of his chair to study the board pushing forward his time bank extensions.

Ultimately, Shih called for the 1,600,000 he had behind.

Joining the action on the 8♦7♥5♦J♠ turn, Riku Sasahara checked and Gyuhyuk Lee bet 475,000. What followed was the check-shove by Sasahara and Lee folded.

At the same time one seat over, Alex Chong was all-in for 405,000 with the J♦J♣. Fellow short stack Steve Yea looked him up with A♠9♠ but one nine on the 9♣7♦2♣Q♥7♠ board was not enough for the knockout.

The A♣9♥8♦ flop saw Mariano check-call for 200,000 and he did so again for 475,000 on the 6♣ turn.

That brought them to the 10♥ river and Mariano checked again. Lee sized up to 1,350,000 and Mariano called, which was verified twice as it may have sounded similarly to an entirely different action.

Lee tabled the 7♠7♦ for the straight and that won a very healthy pot.
