Down to the last 21,000 in chips, Louis Bilodeau pushed all-in from the cutoff. He earned two folds but Andrei Budykin instantly moved forward his covering short stack in the big blind.
Louis Bilodeau: 7♣7♥
Andrei Budykin: J♥J♠
The dominated pair found no help on the Q♥9♠9♣10♦Q♠ board and Bilodeau was eliminated near the end of level 11.
Jacque Ramsden received two streets of value from Shun Jian Yee on a board of 8♣8♠8♦Q♦9♦ before they checked the river. The Brit tabled his 5♦5♣ for a full house and Yee gasped all but a "well done".
Archie Mariano then arrived next to Ramsden and both players bumped fists.
With the completed board reading K♠J♦7♥4♥10♣, Hyeonho Shin bet 13,000. Hyun Jin Jung gave it a minute and tossed in a single chip for the call but then mucked when he was shown the K♦10♠ for two pair by his fellow countryman.
On the three-way turn of J♠9♠7♣5♠, Feridoun Farboud bet 4,500 out of the big blind. Thomas Ward called from under the gun while Carmelo Tutay Jr folded on the button. Farboud quickly bet 15,000 on the 3♣ river and Ward reluctantly called to get shown Q♣8♠ for a bluff.
Ward earned the pot with the A♣A♠ and Farboud tapped the table with a "nice one".
Three players used the opportunity to jump in at the last minute and boosted the Day 1a field to 394 entries of which just 154 players remain. They will all aim to survive the final three levels of the night.
Out of a field of 391 entries, some 153 players remain and they have been sent on their final 10-minute break of the evening. The T-100 chip denominations will be raced off and when level 11 gets underway, the late registration for the first of three starting days will close.
