Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

On the tail end of an encounter to the 86623 river with more than 500,000 in the middle, Kei Kiyohara check-raised to 300,000 and Erdenekhu Uuganbayar called.

Slade Fisher
Slade Fisher

Dickson Chin had around 350,000 chips remaining and he called off for them with the A9.

Slade Fisher was behind with the K9 but as fate would have it, the Aussie scored a sucker punch knockout on the J103Q4 runout to further increase his already big stack.

End of the Road for Campomanes

Level 22 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Florencio Campomanes
Florencio Campomanes

The 2019 APPT Manila Main Event champion Florencio Campomanes has had a roller coaster ride throughout the day and pulled out some rabbits out of the hat when he got very short. That was required anymore when he was all-in for 110,000 out of the small blind via check-raise on the KK10 flop.

However, chip leader Nino Pansier in the big blind and Zhigang Chen in the under-the-gun position were not going anywhere as the former also ended up at risk.

Florencio Campomanes: QJ
Zhigang Chen: AK
Nino Pansier: K3

The 8 turn and 6 river bricked off and Campomanes was ousted on the final six tables.

On the tail end of a Q542A board, Yo Kudo bet 170,000 and Christopher Mateo went into the tank before he eventually called.

Kudo tabled the 98 for a missed flush draw and Mateo won the pot with the 99, which brought a smirk from Mike Takayama.

It appears that the penultimate tournament day will conclude at either the end of level 23 or 24 but no official announcement has been made yet.
