One of the innovations of the APT tournament room here in the Galaxy StarWorld Casino is the "Bad Beat Booth." The booth is set up in the corner of the room with a camera inside and allows players to vent their anger following their bust-outs from the tournament.
Now that we are starting to receive a few bust-outs we should start to see the booth put to use. We've already overheard one player looking to release his rage after flopping a full house with on a board against an opponent holding . Of course the case fell to give his opponent quads and a one-outer for the win. A bad beat story that many of his friends will doubtless have to listen to over the coming years, but which will now be etched permanently in APT history thanks to the "Bad Beat Booth."

There are two tournaments playing out simultaneously here on the eighth floor of the StarWorld Casino: Day 1a of the APT Macau Main Event, and a super satellite for Day 1b. In the back half of the room, the Main Event players are relatively quiet, with play calming down and players settling in for the long grind now that the earliest of the bust-outs have occurred. Meanwhile the super satellite players have been whooping it up quite a bit in the front half of the room, seemingly having a great time. Ten of those players will be able to buy into Day 1b of the Main Event on the cheap.
