Timoshenko Can't Dispatch Karian

Rober Karian stayin' alive

It was bound to happen at some point. Yevgeniy Timoshenko, the small blind, raised to 36,000 after asking the big blind, Rober Karian for a count. Rober Karian squeezed his cards and moved all in. Timoshenko quickly called and stood up. He was in a dominating position with {A-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} against Karian's {A-Clubs} {8-Hearts}, but the flop was eight-high: {5-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {2-Spades}. Timoshenko couldn't find a ten on the turn {6-Diamonds} or the river {k-Diamonds}. After running like a god for most of the afternoon, he has finally given some chips back to an opponent.

When Karian's stack was counted down, he had about 240,000. With that double-up, he is now approaching 500,000.
