Carmona is Pumped!

Don Carmona, in more sedate times
Don Carmona, in more sedate times
Don Carmona just went running down the aisle between the poker tables, whooping and hollering. Most of what he was saying was unintelligible to us, but he was clearly pumped. Several times he banged a fist over his heart, as if to signify how much heart he has when he's playing poker. The theatrics were quite extended, lasting well over a minute and drawing the attention of the whole room to the point that players at several tables started applauding in mock appreciation of the performance.

We have no idea what the action on the hand was (and really, Carmona was far too excited to ask and the rest of the table far too amused / disgusted to be bothered to tell us). We only saw the board -- {2-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {5-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} -- and Carmona's hand, an unimproved {A-Spades} {J-Spades}. The loser's hand had already been killed and the loser was counting off the chips necessary to double up Carmona.

The loser counted down 23,400, allowing Carmona to double up to about 55,000 with just ace-high.
