Ferguson Busts

Chris Ferguson Eliminated
Chris Ferguson Eliminated
Chris "Jesus" Ferguson has just been eliminated from this event as the giant-killing run of Josh Field continues.

After betting 10,000 on the flop of {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{K-Hearts}, Field bet enough to put Ferguson all in. Ferguson went into the tank before calling.

Field held {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for top set as Ferguson had big comb draws with his {4-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}.

The river bricked the {3-Diamonds} and Field collects the pot to move up to 115,000 as Ferguson hits the rail.

Final Table Is Set

With the recent eliminations of Joe Reina and Mark Kassis our final table for Event #12 of the Aussie Millions is now set.

Here's how they lineup with updated chip counts:

Seat 1: Sam Youssef - 3,700
Seat 2: Michael Zowie - 47,000
Seat 3: Michael Pesek - 35,000
Seat 4: Josh Field - 121,500
Seat 5: Tony G - 46,000
Seat 6: Jason Gray - 53,000
Seat 7: David Ewing - 23,000
Seat 8: Chino Rheem - 36,000
Seat 9: Michael Binger - 22,000

Only the top seven players are going to reach the money stage so there are going to be two disappointed players as the final table is now underway. Once our coverage of Event #11 wraps up (Lee Nelson and Rainer Quel are currently heads up for the title) we'll be able to provide more in depth coverage as this tournament reaches its conclusion.

Same, Same but Different

Not much has changed since our last update. Josh Field still holds a commanding chip lead and Sam Youssef is still battling valiantly with the short stack as nine players still remain.

Tony G has been a noticeable absentee from the last orbit or so as his stack continues to get blinded off.

Our top three chip counts:

Josh Field - 114,000
Jason Gray - 61,000
Michael Pesek - 48,500

Bubble Still Waiting to Burst

Incredibly, the bubble still hasn't burst as the eight remaining players are becoming increasingly frustrated. Tony G is trying to stimulate negotiation discussions while all eyes are currently on David Ewing who is the short stack with only 8,000 chips.

Josh Field continues to lead with 112,000, followed by Michael Pesek with 64,000 and Jason Gray with 56,000.

Tony G Bubbles

Tony G Bubbles
Tony G Bubbles
On a flop of {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} Tony G committed his last chips into the middle against Michael Binger.

Guoga: {10-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Binger: {Q-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Both players tabled big wraps as Guoga's two pair held the lead. However the {Q-Diamonds} hit the turn to give Binger the lead with a king-high straight. The river was the {3-Clubs} and Guoga bubbles as our final table is set.

The players are now taking a fifteen-minute break as they do a chip change-over to the "major tournament" style of chips and relocate to the feature table in front of the rail.

We'll have the updated chip counts for you shortly.

Chino Rheem Eliminated in 7th Place (AU$15,480)

Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem
On a flop of {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} Chino Rheem fired out a pot-sized bet of 10,200 before Michael Binger re-potted. The table folded and Rheem decided this is it as he plonked his remaining chips into the middle. Binger made the call.

Rheem: {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Binger: {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

"Two pair and nut flush draw" said Rheem however Binger had flopped the nut straight.

The turn was the {5-Diamonds} and river the {7-Hearts} and Rheem is sent to the rail in 7th place for AU$15,480, as Binger jumps to the chip lead with 126,000.
