Alex Horowitz Eliminated by Quads

Alex Horowitz has been eliminated by Zac Gruneberg.

Horowitz moved the remainder of his chips into the pot preflop holding {A-Spades}{6-Hearts} and found a caller in Grunberg with {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}.

The flop of {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} was bad for Horowitz, but the {8-Clubs} on the turn was certainly worse.

Horowitz was the first champion of the tournament that eventually became the Aussie Millions. In the first year Crown held its "Australiasian Championship" it was a fixed limit hold'em format, rather than a no limit hold'em event. Horowitz emerged triumphant from that field of 74 runners to claim the $25,900 prize money.

Interestingly enough, Ken Eastwood (2nd), David Gorr (3rd), Leo Boxell (4th), and Jason Gray (6th) all made that final table and were all also in the field today.
