Rawiller Goes Wild

Brad Rawiller has just catapulted to the top of the leaderboard after a recent three-way pot that sent John Dalton to the rail.

Dalton opened the pot with a raise to 20,000 and Jeff Putt flat-called. Action then made its way around to Rawiller who kicked it up to 60,000. Dalton then moved all in for a total of 82,500 and Putt made the call.

Rawiller then attempted to move all in but wasn't allowed as the previous bet amount was less than half the one before it, so he was forced to just call.

The flop came down {Q-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} and Putt checked to Rawiller, who moved all in. Putt let go of his hand, and a showdown ensued between Rawiller and Dalton:

Rawiller - {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}
Dalton - {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

Putt told the table he folded pocket kings.

The turn and river blanked out {3-Diamonds}, {2-Hearts} and Rawiller's aces reigned supreme to take down the pot.

Rawiller is now sitting with 350,000 in chips, Putt with 215,000 and Dalton is out in 89th place ($2,286 AUD).

Pay Jump!

New Zealand's Dan Sing was spotted at the cage - we managed to catch him and he recalled how he was busted in 81st place.

Sing moved his last 40,000 into the middle with {a-?}{9-?} but was called down by an opponent's {k-?}{6-?} and the king hit the turn.

Sing is the first player to make the pay jump, taking home AUD $3,429.

Saab Steamrolls Two

David Saab
David Saab
Vito Monalto moved his last 38,000 chips all in from early position, before Ewan Morgan moved over the top for his 75,000-chip stack.

The action was then on David Saab who also moved all-in over the top for 82,000 as a huge three-way pot developed.

Montalto: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Morgan: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Saab: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The flop of {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} was good for Saab as he paired his ace to take the lead and leave his opponents drawing slim. The {9-Diamonds} turn and {5-Spades} river didn't change anything as Saab busts two opponents to fly up to 240,000 chips!

Rodrigues Rocks a Double-up

Manny Rodrigues is now up to 73,000 in chips after a recent double-up.

Action folded around the table to an unknown player in the cutoff position who opened with a raise. Short-stacked, Rodrigues moved all-in over the top for a total of 31,000. His opponent made the call and Rodrigues quickly tabled pocket aces. Rodrigues' opponent was drawing slim with the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}.

By the turn, the board had filled out {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, giving Rodrigues a fair sweat, but the river blanked ({J-Spades}) and Rodrigues' aces held to claim the pot.

Ford Dented

Callum Ford has taken a hit when he ran his {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} into an opponent's {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}.

Ford was fortunate to hit his set on the river, but was already drawing stone-cold dead as his opponent had hit an ace on the {J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} board.

Wanna Play?

Vincent Wan has just eliminated Terry Christopoulos from the tournament to move to 120,000 in chips.

The two got it all in before the flop (which, if you haven't noticed yet has become an increasingly popular phenomenon since the bubble burst). Christopoulos came to the showdown with {A-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and found himself in bad shape against Wan's {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

The ensuing board ran out {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Wan took down the pot on the strength of his king kicker.

So Long Sofo, Hello Hash!

Bjorn Sofo moved the last his money into the middle with {a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}, only to run into the {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} of Tony Hachem.

The flop of {4-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} kept Hachem ahead but Sofo had outs to the gut shot straight draw. The extra helping hand came with the {4-Clubs} spiked on the turn; Sofo now with the additional flush outs.

The river ran red with the {8-Hearts} - Sofo is off to the cage while Hachem moves up to 230,000.
