Rosenkrantz Hits The Rail

DeucesCracked instructor Jay Rosenkrantz will have some extra time to prepare for his seminar tomorrow as the "2 Months 2 Million" star has been sent to the rail.

He was short stacked and committed his chips preflop with {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} but was called by an opponent holding {A-Diamonds}{6-Spades}.

The board fell {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} missing both players, leaving ace-high as the best hand to send Rosenkrantz to the rail.

Marc Des Anges Moving It

Marc Des Anges is proving a one-man wolfpack on his table, taking no prisoners on his way to 44,000 in chips.

Recently a short-stacked Archie Davis moved all in for 4,500 and Des Anges flat called from the small blind hoping to also get action from the big blind. The big blind quickly folding leaving the two combatants to show down.

Des Anges is up to 44,000.

Hachem Strikes Gold

All the money was in the middle on a flop that read {J-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} between Tony Hachem, Andrew Hinrichsen and another opponent and we caught the action as the cards were tabled:

Hachem: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Hinrichsen: {q-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}

The turn and river ran out {5-Clubs},{6-Diamonds} and Hachem's set held up to send his stack soaring to 26,000 in chips.

Hinrichsen was left with just 1,600 and the opponent was sent to the rail.

Carle Cut Down

Mitch Carle is having a rough time
Mitch Carle is having a rough time
Mitch Carle has taken a decent hit to his stack.

Preflop, a player in middle position limped in and the hijack popped it up to 1,000. Carle called out of the big blind, and the middle position made the call as well.

The flop came {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{a-Spades} and all three players checked. The turn {5-Spades} saw Carle lead out 2,100 and both players called.

The {4-Clubs} river had Carle bet out again, this time to 3,800. After some pained thought the middle position player counted his chips and slid out 5,700, which the dealer quickly rejected because it wasn't a full raise.

It would count as a call, and the hijack also called. Carle mucked his hand before seeing any cards, and the middle position player tabled {2-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a straight. The hijack mucked his hand.

Carle is down to 7,000.

It's Still Christmas For Tahtouh

Emad Tahtouh
Emad Tahtouh
An interesting hand has just developed that left Emad Tahtouh with the chips in rather strange circumstances.

The action until the river wasn't anything startling with bets on the flop and turn called by Tahtouh on the {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} board. It wasn't until the {K-Clubs} river that things got interesting.

The pot was already worth well over 12,000 when Tahtouh checked again to his opponent. The player deliberated for some time and considered his options. One would be to bet, another to check, but the player decided on the third of two choices and decided to just toss his cards straight into the muck!

A player at the table started to point out the error but Tahtouh jokingly asked the player to not teach him the right way to play, "Let him make the same mistake again!" laughed Tahtouh as he raked in the chips. "Tell him in the car park afterwards!"

Tahtouh is up to over 40,000.

It's a Knockout!

Jarred "FlopNutsOnYou" Graham has just eliminated James 'Jabba' Broom and another opponent over in the satellite section of the Crown Poker Room.

As Graham recalled, Broom moved all in before the flop with pocket sevens, another opponent called all in with pocket eights and Graham called all-in-blind, rolling up {A-?}{Q-?}.

"FlopNutsOnYou" lived up to his nickname once again, hitting an ace on the flop and it was enough to take them both out.

Graham is now back up to 19,000 in chips.

Stavropoulos Has Cards, But No Chips

Manny Stavropoulos has been eliminated from the tournament but not before a little controversy.

Stavropoulos was short stacked and decided to make a move with his {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, but found himself called by Brad Fry who held {A-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Only problem was that the dealer didn't hear the call, and thought Fry was open-folding as he grabbed the cards and pulled them into the muck.

A little commotion ensued and the floor was called. Since everyone at the table heard the call and saw the cards, the TD ruled that his cards were live, eventhough they weren't physically retrieved from the muck.

The board was spread {6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and despite not having cards in front of him, Fry was awarded the pot and Stavropoulos was sent to the rail.

Cole Decked?

DeucesCracked tutor Rob Cole raised preflop to 2,000 and the action folded around to the player in the small blind who moved all in for 5,600. Cole made the call.

Cole: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The opponent was in good shape on the flop of {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} with top-top, then made two pair when the dealer produced the {A-Clubs} on the turn.

Cole's prayers to poker gods must have been answered, as the {5-Clubs} spiked on the river, giving him a runner-runner flush!

Ol' King Cole is still a merry old soul and the opponent's day is done.
