Selbst Taking Advantage

An early position raise found one caller before Vanessa Selbst also called in the big blind.

The flop was {9-Spades} {5-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}, Selbst lead out for 1,300 and the original raiser flat-called. The lady behind intended to call also but threw out 2,300 instead, forcing her to min-raise to 2,600.

The action came back to Selbst who thought for a moment before moving in. Both the original raiser and the accidental min-raiser folded instantly.

Selbst showed {10-Clubs} {8-Hearts} for nothing more than a gutshot.

Neilson and Delaney Dance With Queens

Daniel Neilson
Daniel Neilson
Daniel Neilson has doubled up his short stack with his pocket queens holding up against an opponent's {A-?}{Q-?} when the board ran out {7-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. Neilson is up to 11,000.

The lovely ladies were also kind to Ben Delaney who just won a monster three-way pot. With the heavy preflop action, Delaney thought his {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} were behind, but he was happy to see one opponent flip {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} and thrilled to see the second player reveal {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board fell ten-high and Delaney busts two opponents to effectively break his table as he jumps out to a commanding 80,000 in chips!

Haki Hammered

Preflop, the under-the-gun player limped in and another early position player made it 1,200 to go.

Haki Sejnovski raised to around 3,000, and Dave Lee called out of middle position. With action back on the under-the-gun player he moved in for 16,000. The early postion player folded, and then Sejnovski quickly announced call. Lee open mucked {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts} almost as quickly.

Sejnovski rolled over his {A-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and seemed to be the only player in the room surprised that his opponent had {A-Spades}{a-Hearts}.

The flop of {3-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Spades} left Sejnovski in bad shape. When the turn {9-Diamonds} hit, Lee slammed his fist on the table in disgust. "Would have eliminated both of you", Lee said.

The river {4-Clubs} completed the board to drop Sejnovski down to about 6,000 chips.

Harman Eliminated

Damian Harman has just been eliminated at the hands of Paul Taylor.

All the money went in on the turn with the board reading {A-?}{2-?}{3-?}{3-?}; Harman moved the last of his short stack into the middle with {A-?}{9-?} but found himself outkicked by Taylor's {A-?}{J-?}.

The river {7-?} improved neither had and Harman's tournament life has come to an end.

Selbst Emerges from the Carnage

Vanessa Selbst is straight killing fools
Vanessa Selbst is straight killing fools
Vanessa Selbst's Aces held up, meaning that the dealer avoided a headache in this recent hand.

A short-stacked player with {9-?}{9-?} moved all in for 5,000 from middle position. The hijack then moved in for 18,000 with {A-?}{k-?}, and the small blind called all in with {k-?}{k-?}.

Selbst called all of them from the big blind with her Aces. Now if you've followed all of that, the upshot of it all was that the board blanked out and Selbst moved her stack up to 70,000, sending three players to the rail in the process.

Christopoulos Chips Up

Terry Christopoulos has just taken down a nice pot to eliminate an opponent. After a raise to 3,000 from early position, Christopoulos made it 6,000 on the button. His opponent moved all in and Christopoulos made the call.

Christopoulos: {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{K-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Christopoulos takes it down to move up to 33,000.

Tall Cut Short by Khouiss

The money was all in the middle on a flop of {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{5-Clubs} between DeucesCracked's Joe Tall and Sammy Khouiss and we caught the action as the cards were tabled:

Khouiss: {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Tall: {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

The turn and river ran out {7-Diamonds},{6-Spades} which gave both players two pair but Khouiss took it down and was awarded a DeucesCracked Aussie Millions Academy pass by Hall.

"What's this for, I don't need this!" exclaimed Khouiss.

"It's great, that's worth $250," said Tall.

Khouiss held the pass over the table and asked, "Who wants it for fifty bucks?"
