Andrew Demetriou just got a quick lesson in counting your chickens before they've hatched.

Demetriou found himself in a race after moving all in preflop for 30,000 and getting called by Brent Thomas.

Thomas had {A-Spades}

against the {Q-Diamonds}

of Demetriou. The {8-Spades}

meant that Thomas paired his King taking the lead, but Demtriou improved to a set on the {Q-Spades}

He promptly began celebrating thinking he had the hand won. He missed the fact that Thomas was now drawing to a flush, and it promptly hit on the river {2-Spades}

The river certainly threw water on Demetriou's celebration flames, as he hit the rail. Thomas continues to build a good stack.
