DeucesCracked Duo Still Alive

Vanessa Selbst: 1 vs. Yngve Steen: 0

Vanessa Selbst has the upper hand in her Round 1 clash against Yngve Steen after her {8-?}{7-?} hit a straight on the flop of {j-?}{10-?}{9-?} against Steen's {10-?}{5-?}.

Aaron Wilt: 1 vs. Dan Smith: 1

We also passed by Aaron Wilt's table and had a quick chat to him and he explained that they were locked at one game apiece.

"Right now, in this third game, Dan (Smith) is crushing me," he laughed.

Barry Woods Advances to Round 2!

Woods (during Main Event): advances to Round 2
Woods (during Main Event): advances to Round 2
Grant Levy's Australia Day has turned sour after being eliminated by Barry Woods in straight sets.

On a flop that read {8-?}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}, Grant Levy moved the last of his money into the middle with {a-?}{k-?}, only to be called down by Woods who tables {j-Spades}{8-Spades}.

The turn was a {j-?} and the river was the {3-Spades} - take it any which way you like - Levy is busto and Woods moves on.

The money was all in on a flop that read {4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} between Vanessa Selbst and Kyle Cheong in their second match and we caught the action as the cards were tabled:

Cheong: {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}

Cheong kept the lead when the {2-Spades} fell on the turn, but Selbst struck gold with the river {8-Clubs} and sent Cheong out in straight sets.
