Our first trip around the tables has netted us many big names, but not the man who is arguably favorite in this field - Billy The Croc.

We expect to see him a take a seat in this field as a late comer.

Plenty of the bigger name Aussies and a couple of internationals have turned out for a hit of the mixed game action.

The field includes Marsha Waggoner, Eric Assadourian, Mel Judah, Jan Suchanek, Dan Shak, Bruno Portaro, Graeame Putt, Mick the Hoon, Leo Boxell, and many more.

There are still a couple of empty seats that could be filled by other big names and we'll be sure to keep you posted.

Arriving on a flop of {9-Hearts}

saw a bet from Chris Brammer. The small blind called before the big blind check-raised. Brammer made it 3 bets, the small blind folded and the big blind called.

Brammer bet again on the {2-Diamonds}

and was check-called before both checked the {8-Clubs}

river.

Brammer flipped {10-Diamonds}

for a ten-high straight with a 8-7-6-3-2 low. This was good enough for the whole pot as the big blind mucked.

There is around 70 players in the tournament at the moment, the numbers slowly increasing as more latecomers arrive to take their seats. Amongst their numbers so far are Mel Judah and the unlucky bubblee of the PLO event, Chris Brammer.

We're starting with Hold'em today and changing every 8 hands to a new game. The levels are 30 minutes long up until the 8th level when they'll increase to 40 minutes.

Welcome To Event #6! $1,100 H.O.R.S.E

Welcome to the $1,100 H.O.R.S.E event as the players struggle to get up after the last night's welcome party.

This is the first of two H.O.R.S.E events scheduled, there's a second $10,500 event in just over a week's time. Mixed games are becoming increasingly popular over the last year or so and again, it will probably be the case here.

Covering the disciplines of Hold'em, Omaha Hi-Lo Split, Razz, Stud and Stud-Eight-Or-Better, the player who wins this tournament will have to be skillful in all the games to pick up this gold ring.

Play starts in about 10 minutes.
