Very Nice Chap

Double up for Fred Chaptini, he pushed against James Obst's raise with {A-Clubs} {K-Hearts} and binked the river against {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds} on a {6-Hearts} {3-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} {K-Spades} board.

Chaptini is up to 14,000. Obst still has over 100,000.

Channing Gets Obstinate-d

Just before the break, the biggest hand of the tournament occured.

James Obst opened for 800 in middle position, Barney Boatman made the call on the button before Neil Channing reraised to 3,200 from the button.

Obst then reraised to 6,900 and Boatman folded, Channing though wanted a count on the young internet player's stack before moving all-in.

Obst instantly called with {A-Spades} {A-Hearts} dominating Channing's {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} and holding on a {Q-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {8-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {9-Spades} board. Obst is up to 115,000 and Channing is left with 27,000.

Barny Boatman told our reporter he folded Tens and was glad to get out of the hand when he did.

Channing Busts Colman For The Chip Lead

Neil Channing
Neil Channing
Julius Colman raised to 1,050 from UTG+1, James Obst called in middle position and Neil Channing called in the big blind.

The flop was {K-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {3-Clubs}, Channing checked, Colman bet 1,850, Obst folded and Channing called. On the {6-Diamonds} turn, Channing check-called again, this time a bet of 4,500.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} and Colman checked out of turn, Channing then moved all-in for almost 40,000. Colman then called all-in for slightly less than 20,000.

Channing flipped {A-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds} for the backdoored nuts and Colman mucked and hit the rail.
