Ashby Bests Kastle

Level 11

Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo

We are unsure of the exact action, but with a rather hefty pot developed, both Richard Ashby and Casey Kastle checked seventh street to see each player table their hand.

Kastle: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds} / {J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades}{K-Spades} / {4-Diamonds}
Ashby: {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} / {10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Clubs} / {K-Hearts}

With Ashby's two-pair bettering Kastle's aces, he happily collected the pot to move to 65,000 as Kastle slipped to 20,000 in chips.

Dunwoodie Dusted

Level 11
Sean Dunwoodie
Sean Dunwoodie

Sean Dunwoodie will be unable to replicate his victory in Event 3 after he recently was felted.

After building a healthy stack early in the tournament, he managed to maintain it until dinner before a few unlucky cards here and there would be his eventual demise.

Kastle Doubles

Level 11

Razz

Casey Kastle found himself all in against Oliver Gill on fifth street with both player's boards running out as follows.

Kastle: {10-}{3-} / {5-}{A-}{10-}{6-} / {Q-}
Gill: {7-}{2-} / {A-}{6-}{k-}{2-} / {2-}

With Gill unable to improve against Kastle, he slipped to 30,000 as Kastle climbed to just over 30,000.

Ravesi Cruising

Level 11

Omaha Hi/Lo

Paul Ravesi opened to 5,000 only to have Oliver Gill three-bet to 7,500 from the big blind.

Ravesi made the call, and then proceeded to call 2,500 on the {K-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop as the dealer dropped the {7-Diamonds} on the turn.

Gill checked and Ravesi quickly tossed in 5,000 to put Gill into think-tank mode.

After a few moments, Gill exposed his {A-Spades}{A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and folded as Ravesi flashed his {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to take the pot and move to 110,000. Gill is now down to 30,000.

Judah and Gipson Done

Level 11

Keith Gipson and Mel Judah have been eliminated in near back-to-back hands to leave us with just eleven players.

The plan tonight is to play down until just a final table of seven remain.

Ashby Quartered

Level 10

Omaha Hi/Lo

Richard Ashby and Paul Ravesi capped it preflop before Ravesi fired on every street of the {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{A-Clubs} board.

Ashby called him down on every street and tabled his {10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

Ravesi tabled his {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts} to quarter Ashby and see his stack move to 88,000 as Ashby slips to 105,000.

Watson Wounded Then Walks

Mike Watson

Limit Holdem

With roughly 20,000 in the pot and the board reading {4-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}, Daniel Ospina cut out a 4,000-chip bet.

Mike Watson ummed and ahhed for several moments before making the call, only to be forced to muck at the sight of Ospina's {6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}.

As Watson slipped to 8,000, Ospina soared to 130,000 in chips.

Just a few hands later, Watson would surrender the remainder of his chips.

Steicke Surrenders

Level 10

Pot Limit Omaha

On a flop of {J-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} with 10,200 in the pot, David Steicke moved his last 5,300 into the pot from the cutoff.

His lone opponent in the hand - Bruno Portaro - made the call from the button to put the 2009 Aussie Millions High Rollers Champion at risk.

Steicke: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Portaro: {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds}

The turn and river landed the {3-Diamonds} and {7-Hearts} to end Steicke's tournament as Portaro climbed to 75,000 and change.
