David Steicke Eliminated in 4th Place (AUD$325,000)

Level 12 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

In a battle of the blinds, we saw Erik Seidel and David Steicke arrive at a board reading {J-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Seidel led out for 65,000 only to have Steicke's time bank count right down until just one second remained before he announced he was all in.

Seidel smiled, rolled his eyes, and then - what seemed like was out of the blue - announced a call.

Steicke: {K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Seidel: {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}

With Seidel in the lead, Steicke would need to improve to trips or two-pair to remain with a chance to snatch his second Aussie Millions title.

Unfortunately for the Australian ex-pat, he saw the {9-Spades} spike on the river to end his tournament in fourth place for a AUD$325,000 payday.

Three-Bet City for Trickett

Level 12 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

The last two hands have seen Sam Trickett three-bet his opponent.

Facing a 55,000-chip raise, Trickett made it 175,000 and produced a fold from his opponent before doing the same thing to Tony Bloom the next hand when Trickett slid out 158,000 from the small blind.

Seidel Four-Bets Steicke

Level 12 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Erik Seidel raised to 50,000 from the button. David Steicke three-bet from the small blind to the amount of the pot, 170,000. Seidel announced that he was all in, although he could only really make it 530,000 total, potting it again. Steicke tanked and his clock just about ran out before he tossed in his time breaker button to get another 30 seconds. Eventually, he gave it up and Seidel won the pot. Steicke dropped to 445,000 or so.

Seidel Surges with River Save

Level 12 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Both Sam Trickett and Erik Seidel committed 55,000 preflop from the blinds to see a {3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop fall.

Trickett fired out 68,000 before Seidel made it 215,000 to go. Trickett moved all in and Seidel made the call for his 617,000 total.

Trickett: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Seidel: {K-Spades}{10-Spades}

With Seidel trailing, but needing any king or spade to take the lead and remain alive, the {A-Clubs} on the turn would change little.

But just like it happened several hands previously, the {Q-Spades} on the river would save Seidel's tournament and see him move to 1,350,000 as Trickett slides down to 340,000 in chips.
