Kopec Canned

One-time chip leader Rodoslaw Kopec has fallen in 30th place here today.

He opened to 7,200 from UTG and was only called by Fabian Craib in the big blind en route to a {4-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop. Kopec continued for 8,000 but was check-raised up to 19,000. Call.

The turn came {5-Spades} and Craib continued with initiative and bet 19,000. Kopec called to see the {10-Clubs} river where he faced a bet for his remaining 37,000. He sat and thought for so long that another table mate called the clock on him. Kopec was counted down to the last five seconds before he made the crying call all-in. Crain tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} and Kopec mucked and made his exit.

Demetriou Leaves Five

Harry Demetriou has just been eliminated from the tournament. He goes out in 6th place at his table and receives $4,000 for that effort. His demise came at the hands of James Obst. Demetriou was first crippled by Obst when he made a smaller straight holding {j-}{10-} against Obst's {a-}{j-}. Obst then dealt the fatal blow to Demetriou on the next hand.

Down to Four on Eighteen

Todd Baily has just been eliminated over on Table 18. Baily held {a-}{10-} and had to come up against {7-}{7-}. The {a-}{10-}{k-} flop was promising but when the {7-} fell on the turn, Baily was left with only a couple of outs. The bricked river gave no help and Baily was sent home in 5th place on his table.

No More Betts on Jabbour

Mark Betts took care of Sayed Jabbour in 6th place at his table to move up to 280,000 in chips. The chips went in on the river of a {5-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Spades} board.

Jabbour check-called off his stack and was shown {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} by Betts for a rivered straight. He mucked his hand and made a quiet exit.

Fallen in a Dyke

Peter Dykes is the last player to receive $3,000 after he was eliminated by Sam Capra.

Capra opened from UTG and called when Dykes three-bet him from the hijack. The flop fell {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Capra check-called a 21,000 c-bet before both player checked the {k-Spades} turn.

The river cam {a-Diamonds} and Capra set Dykes in for his last 50,000 chips. Dykes was talking as if he thought his opponent had slow played ace-king but he couldn't lay down his {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Capra didn't have ace-king but he did have {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} for a full house and that was good.

Wesiner then lifted her other card and as soon as she saw the {j-Clubs}, made the call.Weisner also picked up $1,000 for eliminating Tran who was a bounty player.

Guang Lu-ser

Guang Lu has fallen in 6th place ($4,000) from table 15 after back-to-back pot losses.

He was unlucky in the first hand as his {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} lost out to Ross Parkhill's {a-Clubs}{5-Hearts} when the latter spiked a five on the turn.

That left him with 25,000 chips and they went in from the early position with his holding of {k-Spades}{2-Diamonds}. Rhys Jones raised to isolate with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and stayed ahead on the {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{7-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} board.
