All Betts are Off

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

In a blind-versus-blind battle, Sam Cohen and Mark Betts took a flop of {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}. Cohen led out for 60,000, Betts called, and then both players checked the {9-Diamonds} turn. When the {A-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Cohen bet 105,000 and Betts called. Cohen table {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} and it was good as Betts mucked.

Ping Chan Eliminated in 10th Place (AU$95,000)

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Ping Chan - 10th Place
Ping Chan - 10th Place

A short-stacked Ping Chan was all in preflop holding {10-Spades}{9-Spades} and racing against the {7-Spades}{7-Hearts} of Mervin Chan. The {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop was dry for Ping Chan, as was the {3-Hearts} turn. That meant he needed either a ten or a nine on the river to keep his 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event hopes alive, but it wasn't in the cards as the {4-Spades} blanked.

Ping Chan was eliminated in 10th place for AU$95,000, while Mervin Chan chipped up to 2.7 million. That means just nine players remain, two of which must go before we reach the final table.

More for Cabret

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

[Removed:17] opened to 50,000 on the button, Joseph Cabret called out of the small blind, and the dealer fanned {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}. Both players checked. The turn was the {7-Clubs}, the two checked again, and the {4-Diamonds} completed the board.

Cabret led out for 75,000, and Yan called. Cabret tabled {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} for trip aces, and Yan mucked his hand.

Tan vs. Yan Round 3

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jay Tan checked a flop of {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} from the big blind and [Removed:17] did the same from the under-the-gun position. When the dealer burned and turned the {J-Clubs}, Tan checked, Yan bet 65,000, and Tan check-raised to 150,000. Yan called and then both players checked the {4-Spades} turn.

Tan showed {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, but it was no good as Yan tabled {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Check it Down

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jarrod Glennon opened to 50,000 in the cutoff seat, Dan Shak three-bet to 125,000 on the button, and Glennon made the call.

The flop fell {7-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Clubs}, and both players checked. The two knuckled after the turn ({7-Hearts}) and the river ({2-Spades}), and Glennon turned over {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

Shak mucked, and Glennon picked up the pot.

Shak Takes a Hit

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

We caught the action on the river with a board reading {7-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Jarrod Glennon had bet 154,000 from the small blind and Dan Shak pushed back with a raise to 400,000 from the big. Glennon called and showed down {A-Clubs}{6-Spades} for two pair, which was good against Shak's {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

Cohen Ships and Shak Calls

Level 22 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Action folded around to Dan Shak in the small blind and he raised to 50,000. Sam Cohen was in the big blind and responded by moving all in for 790,000, and Shak made the call.

Shak: {A-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Cohen: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

It was a classic flip, but not after the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}. Cohen flopped a set and took a commanding lead in the hand. With that said, about the worst possible cards for her, the {9-Diamonds}, appeared on the turn as it gave Shak both a flush draw and an open-ended straight draw. The railbirds, who've been 2-3 people deep the entire day, leaned in close as the dealer burned one last time and out out the {4-Hearts}. Shak missed his plethora of outs and Cohen doubled on the hand.
