"I finally got my passport to travel," Shiva Dudani told us earlier in the day.
The American pro, who we're accustomed to seeing on the World Series of Poker Circuit, made the trip to Melbourne to take a shot at the Aussie Millions Main Event. Similarly, Rob Edelstein, a pro based out of Chicago, did the same. It seems the allure of the city and a big-time tournament is too much for some to resist. Edelstein is sitting solid with right around 65,000, while Dudani just scored a big double.
We picked up the action on a flop when Dudani checked from the big blind and the under-the-gun player did the same. The player on the button then bet 2,700, both his opponents called, and the appeared on the turn, a card all three checked.
When the completed the board on the river, Dudani led out for 4,200, the under-the-gun player folded, and the button eyed up Dudani's stack before moving all in. Dudani, who had about 20,000 total, didn't seem excited about it but shrugged before announcing, "Call."
"King high," the button sighed. Dudani then tabled the for nines full of aces and the double.
