Chidwick Keeps Up Pressure

Level 18

Omaha 8

Stephen Chidwick raised from under the gun and was called by fellow Brit Richard Ashby. On the flop {Q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Chidwick continued for 10,000 and was called before the {K-Diamonds} turn got checked through. On the {3-Spades} river, Chidwick bet 20,000 and Ashby reluctantly called to muck when he was shown {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} for trips threes.

Soon after, Oliver Gill raised the button and Chidwick flat-called from the small blind. On the flop {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts}, both players checked. Chidwick led the {3-Clubs} turn for 20,000 and Gill quickly mucked.

Omaha 8

Benjamin Benoit can't seem to win a hand right now and has become the short stack at the table. Richard Ashby raised and he made it three bets. Ashby called going heads up to an {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{a-Hearts} flop.

Both players checked, but when Benoit checked the {k-Spades} turn and Ashby bet, Benoit released, leaving him with a vulnerable stack size heading into the Stud games.

"I can still get you, I need a three," Aristidou said and then glanced at the last card. "And I got it."

Aristidou: {7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

The 7-5 took it down for Aristidou and Yoon was eliminated in 7th place for a payday of A$8,640.
