Tobias Hausen Eliminated in 3rd Place (AUD$620,000)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Tobias Hausen - 3rd Place
Tobias Hausen - 3rd Place

Hand #139: Shurane Vijarayam raised to 380,000 from the button before Tobias Hausen moved all in for 1,265,000 from the small blind. Ben Heath folded his big blind as the decision fell back on Vijarayam. He thought for a minute then called.

Vijarayam: {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Hausen: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Hausen was in great shape to double up and extended his lead when the flop fell {2-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} giving him a pair of aces. However, the dealer spiked a {q-Clubs} on the turn to give Vijarayam a straight leaving Hausen to chop the pot if a ten was to find its way on the river.

The {8-Spades} would complete the board and Hausen would be eliminated in 3rd place capturing AUD$620,000 for his efforts.

Hand #137: Jeff Rossiter raised to 240,000 under the gun with {6-Spades}{6-Hearts} before Shurane Vijayaram moved all in from the big blind with {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for enough to cover Rossiter’s 3 million in chips.

Rossiter went deep into the tank, deliberating for several minutes, before finally finding a call to flip for his tournament life. The board ran out {10-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{j-Hearts} to see Vijayaram spike a king and his supporters on the rail erupt with cheers and applause.

Rossiter finishes in 4th place for AUD$440,000.
