This is Limit Hold'em

There will be no action of note for several hours, so let us entertain you.

Last night we did a little survey of floor calls. On average we estimate there were 90% fewer floor calls here then at a typical event in the States. We, in our unscientific survey, credit that to the players. Not only to they know the rules, they also respect the dealers and do not take unnecessary, time-consuming and ignorant angle shots. Its the culture of poker in Australia and quite frankly we like it (but only by a 3 to 2 margin).

Looks like its going to be 19 tables with approximately 185 entrants today, registration is open for another 5 minutes.

We have stories...

Billy 'the Croc" shows up late to find a player in his seat, the player had the correct seat number but it was for a later event. So Billy takes his seat and Paul Ravesi is taken to his correct seat only to find a player already seated there. That player, Glen Goldberg, is at the right table but wrong seat. It is all straight now but both seated players received a 10 minute penalty for taking the wrong seat.

These Aussies are tough on the rules.
