Negreanu Fighting Back

Daniel started the tournament playing nearly every pot and that was not working too well. Then he slowed down and that didn't work either. Now he is back to playing most hands and finally having some success.

Daniel called a raise from Lothar Landauer from the SB. Flop comes{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} and Daniel bets 800 and is called. The Turn comes {4-Hearts} and it is checked around. The river comes {9-Diamonds} and Daniel, thinking he is good, bets $1500. He is called by Landauer and Daniel shows {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to take down the pot. Back up to 15k.

The Case Ten

On a board reading {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} the UTG player checks, the cutoff bets $650 and is raised to $1500 by the button. UTG reraises all in for $5600. The cutoff thinks for a while and folds and the Button insta calls with Pocket Jacks. UTG show Ace Ten. The cutoff says he folded Ace Ten also, and of course - the case Ten hits the River.

Roland de Wolfe Eliminated

Roland de Wolfe was shortstacked and involved in a three-way pot. The flop was {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. De Wolfe bet out 700 and was raised to 3200 by Player A. Player B called and so did de Wolfe. The turn was {4-Hearts}, and de Wolfe checked Player A moved all in for 4.5K. Player B called and de Wolfe moved all in for the rest of his chips. Player A showed {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}. Player B showed {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a full house while de Wolfe flipped over {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a straight. The river was the {K-Spades} and both Player A and de Wolfe headed to the rail.

Fricke takes it to the Pros

Online qualifier Jimmy Fricke is taking no prisoners, taking it to Full Tilt Pro and 7 time WSOP bracelet winner Erik Seidel.

On a flop of {J-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs} Jimmy bets out $1100 and Seidel calls.

The Turn is the {9-Hearts}

Fricke bets $2500 and Seidel calls.

The River is the {4-Spades}

Fricke takes a look at Seidels chips and bets $5500, half of Seidels stack. Seidel considers this for a long time and eventually folds.

Missing Notables

We are missing Phil Ivey and Kathy Leibert who have not taken their seats. Phil is always a notable absentee during the opening rounds and we are expecting him sometime soon. Kathy is the Where's Wally of the poker room right now. (that's "Where's Waldo" for you Yanks).
