Vince Moro Doubles Up

Vince Moro has just doubled through our chip leader Dag Martin Mikkelsen.

Moro's A-A-K-T made a straight on a board of J-T-4-Q-5 which was too good for Mikkelsen's A-Q-6-6. Moro is now up to around 24,000 in chips.

Jamie Pickering Surviving

Jamie Pickering just lost a big pot to Josh "JJProdigy" Field with Pickering's {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{K-Spades}{8-Spades} falling to Field's {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts} on tha board of {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

However after being left with only 7,000 Pickering was able to then double up on the very next hand. Pickering held {5-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Hearts} against his opponent's {Q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}. The board ran out {5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} to give Pickering a straight and after a hectic couple of hands he is now back over 15,000 chips.

Brandon Schaefer Eliminated

Brandon Schaefer
Brandon Schaefer
Roy Winston raised it up pre-flop to 4,800 and Brandon Schaefer re-raised for his last 8,000. Winston made the call and the cards were shown:

Winston: {8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Schaefer: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}

Schaefer was in front with his kings but the board ran out 9-7-2-8-J and Winston ended up with a straight to take the pot and eliminate Schaefer from today's event.

Play Slows

The action has slowed considerably over the last hour. We're unsure at this stage whether we'll be finishing at 2am, playing through to the final table or perhaps even playing right through until we have a winner. We hope to have the official word very soon.
