There are quite a few interesting tables that we'll be keeping a close eye on today.

Lee Nelson Doubles Up

Lee Nelson

On a flop of {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} Lee Nelson was facing a re-raise from his opponent holding {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. He decided to commit to his hand and pushed all in. His opponent insta-called holding the stone cold nuts with his {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

Amazingly the turn and river land {Q-Spades}{4-Spades} and Nelson has made a backdoor flush to survive and jump to 6,850 chips.

Following the hand Nelson was overheard to say "I didn't put him on THAT hand!"

The Croc Takes a Hit

Billy "The Croc" Argyros
Billy "The Croc" Argyros
On a flop of {9-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} Billy "The Croc", Charles Cuschieri and a third opponent got their money into the middle:

Croc: {Q-Hearts}{K-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Cuschieri: {8-Spades}{A-Hearts}{10-Spades}{K-Hearts}
Opponent: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Spades}

The Croc held the lead with the nut straight and flush draw, but had to avoid a lot of cards as one opponent had a set of jacks while Cuschieri had bigger straight and flush draws.

The turn is the {7-Spades} and river {5-Hearts} and Cuschieri makes the nut flush to scoop a pot worth 15,000. The Croc takes a hit but still collects a side pot as the third player is eliminated.
