We've already spotted a few well known international players making their first appearance in this year's Aussie Millions, including Mike Sexton, Steve Zolotow, Lee Watkinson and Andy Black.

Other well known players in today's field include Lee Nelson, Jeff Lisandro and Michael Tomeny.

First Elimination of the Day

Joe Logozzo has the unfortunate honor of being our first elimination of the day. Logozzo held {A-Diamonds}

and the money went in on the turn against Nick Assiotis who held {K-Clubs}

.

The board read {4-Hearts}

and Assiotis had made a straight to leave Logozzo in trouble. The {7-Clubs}

gave Assiotis the pot as Logozzo declined the opportunity to rebuy.

Strong Field

We only have a small field for today's event but it is full of talent. Each table is tough, but in particular table 27 looks particularly strong as it features the likes of Josh "JJProdigy" Field, Jim Sachinidis, Mick "The Hoon", Sam Khouiss and Julian Powell.

Scott Clements Makes Early Rebuy

Scott Clements and Kevin "BeL0WaB0Ve" Saul clashed on a flop of {3-Spades}

.

Clements held {5-Clubs}

for trips but trailed the {2-Diamonds}

of Saul for a flopped full house.

The turn and river landed {10-Spades}

and Saul takes a nice early pot.

This table is also another tough one with Saul and Clements joined by Lee Watkinson and Jeff Lisandro.

Rebuy Period Information

Players may rebuy at any point during the first two levels of today's play when their chip stack is 3,000 chips or less. Each rebuy costs $3,000 and players will receive an extra 3,000 in chips. The first two levels run for 45 minutes each, at which point the rebuy period ends and players will have the option of a single add-on regardless of their chip count. Following the break blind levels will return to 60 minute levels for the remainder of the event.

This is a one-day event, so we'll be playing right through today until we crown a winner!
