Sach Chops with "The Hoon"

On a flop of {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} the money went into the middle with both Mick "The Hoon" and Jim Sachinidis holding the nut straight.

Sayed Saved By Phone Call

Sam Sayed thought he had been busted out of today's event and left the poker room to lick his wounds. However apparently after a big all in clash, he still had around 1,000 chips left. We believe he received a phone call from a friend to let him know he was still alive, and he returned to find his stack was blinded down to around 500 chips.

Remarkably Sayed then pushed hard with his short stack, managing to double up several times and now has around 4,500 in chips!

Break

The tournament clock has been paused while the players take their first 10-minute break of the day. The end of the second level of play also signifies the end of the rebuy period. We'll get a fresh round of chip counts for you once the dust from the rebuy frenzy settles.

Sam Sayed Doubles Again

The remarkable run of Sam Sayed continued just prior to the break.

Holding {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} Sam ended up all in on a flop of {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} against Josh Gould with {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

The turn and river were blanks and Sam is now up to a remarkable 7800 in chips.
