Lindgren Seeking Back-to-Back Victories

Erick Lindgren won this event last year for a cool million. He's trying to replicate that feat and is in good shape as he begins the final table as the chipleader.

Lindgren had a hot start to 2007 after his victory at the Aussie Millions, but the rest of the year had some mixed results. He made on final table at the World Series of Poekr and finished in 10th place two different times in World Poker Tour Events, but those were the only stand out results.

A repeat victory for Lindgren (along with a $1.25 million first place purse) is something that could not come at a better time.

Hand #3 - Mark Teltscher

Erick Lindgren has the button in Seat 4. Niki Jedlicka raises to 16,000 from late position and Mark Teltscher calls from the big blind. The flop is {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and both players check. The turn is the {6-Spades} and both check again. The river is the {6-Diamonds}. Check-check a third time. Teltscher shows {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}, Jedlicka mucks and Teltscher wins the pot.

Hand #2 - Erick Lindgren/Jeff Lisandro

Howard Lederer has the button in Seat 3. Jeff Lisandro raises to 12,000 and Erick Lindgren calls from the small blind. The flop is {J-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Lindgren checks, Lisandro bets 20,000 and Lindgren calls. The turn is the {8-Diamonds} and both players check. The river is the {10-Hearts} and they both check again. Lindgren turns up {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}, Lisandro shows {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and they chop the pot.

Hand #1 - Howard Lederer

Nikolaus Jedlicka has the button in Seat 2. Jeff Lisandro raises to 12,000, Tom Dwan calls, Howard Lederer re-raises to 50,000 from the small blind, Lisandro folds, Dwan folds, and Lederer wins the pot.
