Zhang Catches Up; Brown Wins Early Pot

Level 1 : Blinds 100/200, 0 ante

Min Zhang was seen gathering in a double with {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts} showing and {5-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs} on the board. Zhang fell behind early but the pot brought her back near the starting stack. Her opponent's {k-}{q-} was mucked by the dealer.

Meanwhile, James Brown bet 4,000 with {7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Spades}{a-Clubs} on the board and around 7,000 in the pot. It was too much for Christopher Johnson in the small blind and he tossed his hand in the muck to give Brown the early pot.

Action was heads-up with around 8,000 in the pot and {6-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} on the board when Tyler Payne bet 4,000. Hai Nguyen raised to 8,000 from two seats over and Payne leaned back. After a moment of thought, Payne committed his last 18,200 and Nguyen quickly called.

Tyler Payne: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Hai Nguyen: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

The turn and river came {10-Clubs}{q-Spades} and Payne's aces held to double through the kings.
