Aces for Fido

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Sergei Rylkov's stint as chip leader was short lived, as Zbigniew Fido is our new chip leader with over four million.

Fido had an opponent all in and at risk preflop with {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} against {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. He added a wheel draw on a flop of {2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}, and completed the straight on the {4-Hearts} turn. The player could actually chop the pot with an ace on the river, but the {j-Clubs} bricked off.

Fido now sits with what looks like 4.2 million.

Sykes Sent Packing

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Mark Sykes - Eliminated
Mark Sykes - Eliminated

Mark Sykes moved all in for around 10 big blinds or so on the button, Stephanie Hubbard re-shoved from the small blind, and the player in the big blind folded.

Sykes: {j-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Hubbard: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Hubbard improved to a pair of aces on the flop of {10-Spades}{a-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, but Sykes could survive with running cards to make trips, two pair, or a straight.

It was all over for Sykes when the {5-Diamonds} bricked off on the turn, however, and the {8-Diamonds} completed the board.

Yanni in Concert

Level 26 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
John Yanni
John Yanni

Matt Cooper opened the action to 155K and John Yanni upped it to 350K. Cooper moved all in for just over two million in chips and Yanni made the easy call with {A-}{A-}. Cooper was in bad shape with his {J-}{J-}.

The board ran out {K-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} and John wins the massive pot to move to the top of the leader board and Cooper, who was barely covered by Yanni, was eliminated.

Meanwhile, well known professional poker player Brett Richey has been eliminated.
