Hands 30-35: Finding Some Flops

Level 32 : 60,000/120,000, 20,000 ante

Hand 30: Paredes opened for 250,000 on the button and Maio flatted from the small blind, leaving Merulla to three-bet the action to 745,000. Paredes and Maio both took the hint and their hands were slid forward into the muck.

Hand 31: Maio opened with a button raise to 240,000 and Merulla defended his small blind with a three-bet to 635,000. Paredes folded and Maio snap-flatted to see the flop fall {8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}. With the action on Merulla, he eyed his stacks and cut out a bet of 400,000, which Maio called to see the {j-Clubs} fall on fourth street. Merulla took his time and counted out a bet of 825,000, which forced Maio to flip his cards up in the air and down into the muck.

Hand 32: Merulla opened his button to 250,000 and Paredes moved a raising stack forward, making it 760,000 to play. Maio got of the way and Merulla quickly made the call to bring a {q-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop on board. Both players tapped the table and the turn card came {q-Spades}. Paredes checked for a second time, and Merulla did the same, with the {5-Clubs} completing the board on the river. Paredes made a bet of 600,000 on fifth street and Merulla snap-folded to send the pot one seat to is left.

Hand 33: Maio opened to 275,000 from the small blind and collected Merulla's big blind along with the antes.

Hand 34: Maio folded his button and Merulla limped in, with Paredes checking his option. On the {8-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop Merulla took his time before making a bet of 125,000, which was enough to earn the pot.

Hand 35: Merulla opened to 240,000 from the button, Paredes folded and Maio defended his big blind with a call. The flop came down {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Maio bet 165,000, a wager which Merulla flatted. Both players checked the turn {4-Spades} and the river came {7-Spades}. Maio then led out for 385,000 and Merulla popped it to 1.3 million, which was enough to force the fold and take the pot.
