Weng Felts Casale, Takes the Lead

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Bin Weng
Bin Weng

Christoph Thompson was eliminated in 15th place ($5,822) on Table 1.

Then on Table 2, Bin Weng opened for 145,000, getting two callers. On the flop of {7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, Jason Casale (bb) open-ripped and Weng called. (The third player folded.)

Casale's {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} (top pair, gutshot) was beat by Weng's {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}, but then the {4-Diamonds} came on the turn, giving Casale two pair and odds for a double-up.

The {5-Diamonds} on the river foiled those plans as it gave Weng Aces-up and a better two pair hand. He pulled the pot and is up to ~6.5 million, good for the chip lead.

Casale was felted in 14th place, earning $5,822.

Ramdin's Aces Take Out Ibrahim

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Patrick Ibrahim
Patrick Ibrahim

Patrick Ibrahim got his stack in the middle holding {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} only to run into Victor Ramdin's {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}.

The board came {j-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and was not enough to save Ibrahim, who busted out in 13th place. He'll collect $5,822 for his efforts. Ramdin chipped up to ~2.8 million.

Twelve players remain and they're each now guaranteed to earn at least $8,733.

Scott Boxenhorn
Scott Boxenhorn

Soukha Kachittavong opened for 180,000 in the cutoff, then Scott Boxenhorn (bb) jammed for about 1.1 million. Kachittavong looked him up, showing pocket sixes. Boxenhorn was racing with {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

The board ran out {k-}{q-}{5-}{3-}{9-}, completely missing the short stack who was sent to the rail in 12th place ($8,733).

Alim Doubles, Then Busts

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Victor Ramdin
Victor Ramdin

Markus Alim doubled up through Bin Weng when his KQ offsuit held against 87 suited.

Then Victor Ramdin opened from the button and Alim three-bet from the big blind. Ramdin called to see the flop fall {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

Alim led for 305,000 and Ramdin jammed. Alim snapped, showing {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for the nut flush draw. Ramdin was ahead with {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for two pair, but the {8-Diamonds} on the turn completed the flush for Alim.

He was celebrating another double up, but then the {10-Spades} completed the board, giving Ramdin a full house and the pot.

Markus Alim was eliminated in 11th place, earning $8,733.

Ramdin is up to more than 5 million as the final ten players redraw for the final table.

Taveras-Garcia Doubles Before Break

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Gilberto Taveras-Garcia
Gilberto Taveras-Garcia

On the last hand before break, all the chips went in on a flop of {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Gilberto Taveras-Garcia's {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} had hit middle pair with a flush draw, but was trailing Soukha Kachittavong's {k-Clubs}{10-Spades} (top pair).

The {6-Hearts} turn changed nothing, but the {4-Diamonds} river completed the flush and Taveras-Garcia doubled up.

The remaining players are finally enjoying their first break of the day!
