Borgata Regular Barry Leventhal Says Farewell to His Mother

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Barry and Estelle Molly Leventhal
Barry and Estelle Molly Leventhal

Barry Leventhal is a long-time regular here at Borgata with eight titles, four of them Seniors event wins, but we've been missing him for most of this series.

His mother, Estelle Molly Leventhal, was 92 years of age and suffered a stroke about 10 days ago, after which she was only expected to live for a few hours. Proving she was just as tough as her son, it was nine days later that she left this earth, yesterday at 6pm.

Estelle Molly Leventhal
JUNE 19, 1927 – SEPTEMBER 16, 2019

Services will be held Thursday, September 19th, 10am-12pm at I. J. Morris Funeral Home, 1700 Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn, NY.

From all of the Borgata Poker family, our hearts go out to Barry and his family during this time.

The ones we love never go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, yet always near. Still loved, still missed, and very dear.

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The board read {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades}{6-Spades} and there was around 65,000 in the pot. A player bet around 34,000 and Patrick Eskandar called. Effron Five-Bets Fashakin Off the Pot

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

A player under the gun opened to 7,000 and Scott Effron three-bet to 15,000 in middle position. Femi Fashakin looked down at his cards and quickly put in a four-bet of 37,000 from the hijack.

The initial raiser folded and Effron five-bet all in without hesitation for 117,500 total. Fashakin thought for a moment but in the end, he let his cards go into the muck. Effron showed the {k-Spades} as he pulled in the pot.

Caputo Lands Two, Sends One Home

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The flop read {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and there was around 35,000 in the pot. Brandon Caputo checked to an opponent who bet 22,500 into the pot and Caputo check-raised all in for more than his opponent had behind. Caputo's opponent called and the two tabled their cards.

Opponent: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Brandon Caputo: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Caputo was in a prime position with his two pair to send his opponent home and add another healthy stack to his chip total. The dealer burned and turned a {k-Hearts}, giving his opponent some more outs. The river came down a {4-Hearts} and didn't change a thing as Caputo took down the pot, eliminating his opponent from the tournament.
