Level 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Evan Tan
Evan Tan

Three players limped in and Evan Tan raised to 600,000 from the small blind. Leo Kaz called from the big blind and Zarko Mandic called from the button.

They saw a flop of {9-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} and Tan led out with a bet of 900,000. Kaz raised to 2,000,000 and Mandic quickly folded. Tan put his last 1,995,000 in the pot turning over {10-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Kaz would need to improve holding {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.

The turn {k-Hearts}[ and river {7-Clubs} were no help to Kaz and Tan secured the massive double up to take the chip lead.

Platis Pulls Over a Million Before Break

Level 22 : 15,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Nikolaos Platis
Nikolaos Platis

For the first time tonight we have a new chip leader as Norman Rodriguez has inched past Jean Gaspard. They're not alone at the top however as Nikolaos Platis has quietly been building a monster stack.

Platis is now playing 1,100,000 and he's sharing the felt with Gaspard so there's plenty of potential for a massive pot if these big stacks elect to clash.

The players are now on a 15-minute color up break and we'll pick back up on the live tournament action when play resumes.

The player in middle position raised to 55,000 and Patrick Dicrecchio called from the button. The small blind moved all in for 90,000 and Norman Rodriguez called from the big blind. The middle position player called and Dicrecchio came along.

They saw a flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and it checked to the middle position player who bet 175,000. Dicrecchio put his last 149,000 in the pot and Rodriguez got out of the way.

Patrick Dicrecchio: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

Dicrecchio top set was in great shape but the {q-Hearts} hit the turn improving the small blind to top set leaving Dicrecchio drawing to the last nine in the deck.

Peggy Costa and Jason Rivkin
Peggy Costa and Jason Rivkin

There was already close to half a million in the pot and a player was all-in when there was three-handed action on the {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop.

Peggy "The Blonde Sniper" Costa moved all in for about 200,000 and the late position player snap-called.

Peggy Costa: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Early Position: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Late Position: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

"Wow is this hand real" said Jason Rivkin as all three players were holding monster hole cards.

The turn brought the {j-Diamonds} and Costa improved to a full house.

The {8-Diamonds} river card sealed the deal for Costa to earn her the monster pot and the elimination. The remaining 81 players are now all in the money and guaranteed a minimum of $511 for their efforts.

Jean "Prince" Gaspard

A player in middle position limped in and it folded to Jean "Prince" Gaspard in the small blind who raised to 35,000. The big blind folded and the limper called.

Gaspard turned over {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} for the nuts and his opponent tossed his {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} face up into the muck.
