Schmiech Doubles Through Tokko

Level 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On a heads-up flop of 97Q Daniel Schmiech bet 5,100 and then Moe Tokko moved all in to cover. Schmiech quickly called for his tournament life and the cards were tabled.

Daniel Schmiech: A9
Moe Tokko: 910

Both players held a pair of nines, but Scmiech had Tokko out kicked with his ace, and the runout of Q2 awarded him the pot for the double.

From Bluffer to Bluff-Catcher

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

On a heads-up turn of 4467, Shawn Wilcox checked to Nathan Russler who bet 3,000, but then Wilcox check-raised to 8,500. Russler thought for a few moments but decided to make the call to see the 10 roll off on the river.

Wilcox then checked again and Russler fired for 30,000, putting pressure on Wilcox. After some time to think, Wilcox made the call and Russler was not happy to show A5 for a missed straight draw and ace-high. Wilcox then proudly flipped over Q7 for the winning hand with fours and sevens.

"I turned my hand into a bluff on the turn, and then into a bluff-catcher on the river!" Wilcox exclaimed as he raked in the pot.

Feng Doubles; Lockwood Exits

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

The flop read 3109 with 13,000 in the middle when Peter Lockwood led out for 12,000 and then Han Feng moved all in for 48,800. Lockwood then went into the tank for almost two minutes before he shrugged and said 'screw it' as he tossed in a chip to put Feng at risk.

Han Feng: J10
Peter Lockwood: QQ

Lockwood was ahead with his queens on the flop, but the turn J immediately gave Feng the lead with two-pair. However, Lockwood did pick up a straight draw, and he hit it when the 8 came on the river, but Feng made a flush to scoop the pot for a double.

After this defeat, Lockwood was left short and ended up busting soon after.

Thibodaux Makes the Call

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

Jamie Ho opened to 1,500, then Joshua Thibodaux three-bet to 6,000 and action folded to Ho, who called.

On the flop 872, Ho checked, Thibodaux bet 8,200, and Ho called. The turn came the 9 and Ho checked to Thibodaux who then fired for 22,000, and Ho called once again.

The river fell the 4 and Ho moved all in, covering Thibodaux, who then went into the tank.

After a good minute, he made the call, putting himself at risk.

"Ugh, I just have a nine," Ho sighed and showed J9 for a turned pair of nines.

"Oh, thank god," Thibodaux said with relief as he tabled AA for a superior pair of aces to take down the pot for a double while Ho was left short.
