Hendrix the Hero

Level 18 : Blinds 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Adam Hendrix
Adam Hendrix

On a heads-up turn between Adam Hendrix and Michael Arellano, a large pot was brewing as there were already 125,000 chips in the middle when Arellano bet 75,000 on the turn 542J. After some thought, Hendrix made the call and the duo continued to the river K.

Arellano then cut out a bet of 150,000 and the action was on Hendrix once again, who went deep into the tank to think about this one, even scratched his head once or twice.

After about a minute or so, he flicked in the call and heard those sweet sweet words from Arellano, "You're good," as he tabled Q8 for just queen-high. Hendrix then turned over his holding of 85, a whopping pair of fives, to take down the monster pot.

This win has boosted him well over the million mark as he is currently sitting at 1,250,000.

Govori Folds Kings to Duron

Level 15 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Preston Duron opened to 12,000 and was then three-bet to 40,000 by Genc Govori. Duron called the raise and the two went heads-up to a flop of 71010. Duron checked to Govori who checked back to see the Q appear on the turn.

Duron checked again, and this time Govori bet 35,000, which Duron called to see the Q fall on the river, double-pairing the board.

Duron then led out for 115,000 and Govori went deep into the tank.

"What do you have, bro? he asked Duron, who just smiled at him. A few seconds later, Gavori folded his cards face-up showing KK, and Duron showed him the 9.

"Oooo, spicy," Caitlin Comeskey commented as the chips were shipped over to Duron.
