Prize Pool and Payouts

The prize pool and payouts have been released and the players are all vying for their part of a $3,085,200 prize pool that will be distributed to the top 18 finishers in the field. Out of the 137 entrants that came out for the first Epic Poker League Main Event, 81 of them currently remain. Here's the list of payouts.

Rheem Reads Lunkin's Hand Correctly

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Chino Rheem raised from middle position to 2,400 and Phil Laak called on the button. Vitaly Lunkin reraised from the big blind to 11,000. Rheem got a count on Lunkin's stack and then made the call. Laak folded.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and both players checked to see the {5-Hearts} land on the turn. Both checked again and the {8-Diamonds} fell on the river. After Lunkin checked, Rheem said, "You're probably not going to fold kings," and then checked behind. Lunkin showed {K-}{K-} and Rheem mucked his hand.

Karr Check-Raises River

On the button, David Bach raised to 2,600 and found a caller in McLean Karr in the big blind.

The flop was {10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Karr checked to Bach and he bet 3,700. Karr called and the turn was the {9-Spades} which Karr checked again. Bach checked as well and the two men saw the {7-Clubs} hit the river.

For a third time, Karr checked to Bach and he took this opportunity to fire 7,500. However, Karr check-raised this time to 19,900 and Bach thought for a bit before throwing in the chips for a call. Karr tabled {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for a full house which was good enough to ship him the pot.

Lamb Eats Up Kenney's Chips

With the board reading {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}, Ben Lamb bet, Bryn Kenney raised, Lamb reraised and then Kenney moved all in for 36,000. Lamb made the call and held the {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Kenney held the {Q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

The turn was the {2-Spades} to give Lamb a full house and leave Kenney drawing to just a chop if another ten were to fall. The river was the {Q-Spades} and that failed to do it for Kenney. He was eliminated as 2011 World Series of Poker November Niner Ben Lamb climbed to 160,000 in chips.
