Graham Flops It Big

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

We caught the action on the river of a {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{7-Hearts} board. Antonio Esfandiari was shuffling 46,600 chips, the amount needed to call down Matt Graham in a pot that had already reached over 50,000. Eventually, the call was made and Graham quickly tabled {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for quads.

Esfandiari mucked and is now down to 202,000 while Graham jumps to 350,000.

Khan Busts Liu

Level 9 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

JJ Liu was all in from the small blind for less than 20,000. Hafiz Khan made the call and the hands were revealed.

Liu: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Khan: {k-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The flop {3-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{q-Clubs} flop was unkind to Liu though and the {10-Hearts} turn and {5-Spades} river didn't provide and redemption forcing her to exit the tournament.

Sexton's Ride is Over

Mike Sexton has been up and down the past couple of hours but his session has just come to an end. He got his last 30,000 in with {a-Clubs}{7-Clubs} preflop against the {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} of Justin Bonomo.

The flop was {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{10-Hearts} which gave Bonomo a set and a strong lead in the hand. The turn {10-Diamonds} sealed the deal and the {a-Diamonds} river was just salt in the wound for Sexton.

Sexton wished everyone good luck as Bonomo stacked up 210,000 worth of chips.

Esfandiari Over-Bet Shoves Flop

In a pot that didn't appear to have more than 30,000 chips in it, Chino Rheem had to call off 148,800 to call Antonio Esfandiari's all in. The flop was {9-Spades}{10-Hearts}{k-Spades} and Rheem tanked for about five minutes. He told Esfandiari a couple of times that his first instinct was to fold it but couldn't get much of a reaction from his opponent. Eventually, Rheem slid out the chips and was disappointed when Esfandiari quickly tabled the nuts, {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. Rheem did still have outs for a chop though holding {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} which gave Rheem outs to win the pot by making a full-house but the river did neither for him when it fell the {2-Hearts}.

Esfandiari is now a top 5 stack with 325,000 while Rheem is down to just 100,000.

Low End of the Straight Good for Cantu

Isaac Baron raised to 5,000 from the cutoff seat and Brandon Cantu called from the big blind. The flop came down {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and both players checked. They also checked after the {10-Hearts} was added to the board on the turn and then the river completed things with the {Q-Spades}. Cantu checked and Baron bet 4,500. Cantu snap-called with a verbal announcement and showed the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. His low end of the straight was good as Baron mucked his hand.
