Benamino Speroni Eliminated in 12th Place (€49,600)

Beniamino Speroni - 12th
Beniamino Speroni - 12th
I was on my way back from reporting the last exit, braced for a level of leaning on the rail daydreaming about the Spanish presenter, when suddenly three players rose from their seats on the outer table and the cameras closed in.

As I raced over, the decision was with Mikael Lundell. Judging by the seating positions, Benamino Speroni had pushed in preflop from mid-position, Lundell had flat-called on the button, only for Sebastian Ruthenberg to come over the top from the big blind.

"Call!" announced the Swede, and we had a three-way pot with two men all in.

Speroni = {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Ruthenberg {A-?}{K-?}
Lundell = {A-?}{K-?}

With a king on the {K-?}{8-?}{10-?} flop, the two leading players touched fists in mild celebration. With no flush draw on the cards, Speroni was in search of a queen or a ten, but with a {7-?} on the turn, followed by a conclusive {A-?} on the river, it wasn't to be, and Speroni was done.
